Connect SmartRoomsXP to Salesforce

Connect your Salesforce org to search accounts and contacts and import them into SmartRoomsXP for account engagement and relationship mapping.

Before you start
Make sure you have the required accounts and access.
  • You need a Salesforce account with permission to authorize connected apps.
  • You need a SmartRoomsXP workspace with admin access to manage integrations.
Connect Salesforce
Authorize SmartRoomsXP to access your Salesforce data.
  1. Sign in to your SmartRoomsXP workspace.
  2. Go to Integrations in your account settings.
  3. Select Salesforce and click Connect.
  4. Sign in to Salesforce and approve the connection request.
  5. Once connected, you can search Salesforce accounts and contacts from SmartRoomsXP.

SmartRoomsXP uses secure OAuth with PKCE. Connection uses the api and refresh_token scopes to search and import account and contact data.

What data is accessed
Salesforce objects used by SmartRoomsXP.
  • Accounts

    Search and import Account records (name, industry, website) into SmartRoomsXP accounts.

  • Contacts

    Search and import Contacts linked to Salesforce Accounts.

SmartRoomsXP supports search and import of Salesforce data. Continuous bidirectional sync is not included in the current integration.

Disconnect Salesforce
Remove the Salesforce connection from your workspace.
  1. Go to Integrations in your SmartRoomsXP workspace.
  2. Find the Salesforce connection and select Disconnect.
  3. Confirm the disconnection. Previously imported accounts and contacts remain in SmartRoomsXP.

Common issues and how to resolve them.

Connection fails or times out

Verify you have Salesforce admin or app authorization permissions. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.

Accounts or contacts not appearing in search

Confirm the Salesforce connection is active and you have access to the records in Salesforce.
